CrossFit Connex Mural

James and Katie Eisele opened CrossFit Connex in Madison after expanding from CrossFit Foremost, and they commissioned this mural to coincide with the 2023 CrossFit Games. The piece features a Madison skyline with silhouettes of athletes performing a range of movements — a reminder that this community and these workouts belong everywhere, even outdoors.

I hid engineering notations containing CrossFit workout numbers — 3, 6, 15, 21 — as easter eggs throughout the design. The lettering uses reflective silver paint that catches the light differently depending on where you're standing. My son Seldon collaborated on the lettering and helped bring the whole piece together.
