Mural
Private Residence, Madison, WI
A friend asked me to paint a mural for their newborn's nursery — the room was white and pink, simple and sweet, and they wanted a single stunning focal point to bring it to life. Three large peonies became that centerpiece.
The large, lush petals create a sense of depth and texture that fills the wall without overwhelming the room. The furnishings stay simple so the accent wall can breathe and do its work. Everything else steps back.
There's something particularly tender about painting for a new baby — for a room that will hold someone's earliest memories. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be a small part of that.
