Mural
Roots Coffeehouse, Sun Prairie, WI
The owners of Roots Coffee House had been dreaming about this space for over two years before they opened in Sun Prairie. They described the vision as airy and cheery — more like a French bistro than a typical coffee shop. The mural was designed to live up to that.
They had a specific aesthetic in mind: loosely painted, fine-art in feeling rather than polished or graphic. I prepared by researching and practicing similar styles at home, working toward that effortless quality that actually takes a lot of effort to achieve.
I'm pleased with how the final result came together. Come in and photograph it — and if you do, tag me on social media. It's the kind of space that deserves to be shared.
