Mural
WarmBelly Farm, Cottage Grove, WI
WarmBelly Farm runs a hydroponic garden operation in Cottage Grove, and they wanted a mural that would bring the joy of what they grow into their space. Strawberries, butterflies, and the warmth of a summer garden became the visual language — bright, optimistic, and grounded in the real thing they do every day.
The mural serves as a backdrop for the growing area, so it needed to hold up to humidity and a working environment while still feeling finished and intentional. I used colors that would complement the greens of the living plants rather than compete with them.
There's something especially satisfying about painting food and nature for people who are actually growing food and working with nature. The team at WarmBelly Farm were wonderful to work with — enthusiastic, clear about what they wanted, and genuinely delighted with the result.
